NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Neuropsychological assessment refers to the range of tests and measures that allow us to examine various brain-based functions such as attention, executive functioning, working memory and various other types of memory. These types of tests provide specific information about how we learn, acquire, assimilate and retain various types of information and sensory input. They are used to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD/ADD and LD (Learning Disabilities). Neuropsychological tests may also be helpful in diagnosing and clarifying other disorders such as Non-verbal Learning Disabilities (NLD), Asperger’s Syndrome/Autistic Spectrum Disorders or other Developmental Disabilities such as Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) or Sensory Integration Disorders
