ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
Sometimes we are asked to provide an assessment for students or other individuals
when English is a second language. Trying to figure out, for example, if a student from
Korea, Japan, India, Russia, or Argentina has a Language-based Learning Disability or
other learning problem can be a challenging feat, since most testing materials are written
in English. At Powell & Wagner Associates, we are accustomed to answering such
complex questions and are prepared to work with translators to assist in conducting a valid
neuropsychological or psychoeducational assessment of individuals for whom English is a
